Many families live in poverty, with very little medical care available to ensure that children have the opportunity to thrive. Through the help of Sharing Resources Worldwide and its volunteers, many children receive the medical assistance needed to ensure a healthier, happier life full of hope for the future.

Helping Hands for Honduras is a collection of photos that were shot by photograher Michael L. Sweeney of McFarland, Wisconsin. The photographs in this collection were taken during a recent mission to Honduras. Many local McFarland residents assisted in this mission through donations of time and money. Medical professionals volunteered their time and badly-needed skills to provide medical services. Local corporations, clinics and hospitals donated equipment needed to run the Honduran clinics and hospitals — this equipment would have otherwise ended up in landfills.

Please view the gallery of these photos online here. These photos are also available for purchase. All proceeds go SRW to support Honduran initiatives. Please contact us for more information here.

Founded in January 2002, Sharing Resources Worldwide makes surplus and recycled medical supplies, durable medical equipment, and related items and activities available to needy populations around the world. SRW endeavors to improve the health and quality of life of its recipients and to empower them to live with increased dignity, independence, and hope. They do this through three areas—medical missions, shipping and the wheelchair project. All donations are tax deductible. Please make checks payable to Sharing Resources Worldwide, or visit www.sharingresourcesworldwide.org for more information and to donate online.
